I am extremely honored to be the winner of the Irene Blair Honeycutt Lifetime Achievement Award which will be presented on April 12, 2021 at 7 p.m. This will be a virtual event free and open to the public. I know the people who've come before me and to be included in their company is amazing.

Many of my accomplishements are listed under "Biographgy."  Obviously the most rewarding accomplishments are the 5 chapbooks I've published and the four full-length books. Also gratifying is the publications that have come my way, the fellowships at the VCCA and VT. Studio Center, and the pleasure of having editors choose my work for various anthologies.  One of the best things that ever happened to me in my life as a writer was being accepted at the low-residency program at Warren Wilson.  It was an honor to be accepted in 1984 when it was one of two low-residency programs in the country.  And it remains an honor to be accepted there now, and also at other programs.  Good luck to all who enter wherever!
